Club events this season started with the annual Charity Trophy which came to an early end due to heavy rain. Scores were carried forward to the pavilion and a damp afternoon was transformed to a noisy occasion with dominoes excitedly contested. Our Charity this year is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the afternoon raised £68. This will be added too throughout the season with other events.
Ladies v Gents -
No rain this time, in fact it was a very warm afternoon with the event changed from the normal triples, to Drawn Pairs Commonwealth Games style. Three woods each instead of the usual four.
Five pairs of Ladies and Gents played on three Rinks, with David Boxford helping the ladies make up the numbers.
